About

In 1989, Reed Robbins began the journey from corporate architecture into historic architectural and design preservation in the small coastal town of Benicia, located 33 miles above San Francisco. This endeavor has taken her from the initial restoration of the Captain Walsh House circa 1849, to Jefferson Street Mansion circa 1861 and to the newest endeavor of a fusion with antique French decorative trims, appliqués and metallic decor onto and into...the art of passementerie and curated collections.

The  Details

Each shade requires hours of thought with reverse layering and pinning prior to final adhering. Many of the items are one of a kind and difficult to locate, so every shade or creation is an original work of art and will never be repeated. This initial group is numbered tagged with only 50 in the series.

...pun intended!

And now...
the journey continues

After discovering that decorators may have more fun than architects; with textiles, fabrics finishes, decorative trims,

appliqués...oh my...I explore and create to my own eccentric whims. Each a unique combination of design elements with curated collections.
